Software Pick of the Week: IE 7 Pro
To date I’ve spent a lot of time Blogging about Microsoft Operating Systems and solutions themselves, but I’ve yet to spend any time on the software which runs on these products. After all, what’s an OS without some killer software to run on it? I’ve chosen a great add-on for Internet Explorer (IE) to inaugurate our journey into the wonderful world of software, IE 7 Pro! Traditionally, those who oppose Internet Explorer and prefer an open source alternative like Mozilla Firefox or Opera cite security holes and the lack of features in IE as primary arguing points and while IE 7 Pro won’t harden your install it will add some features that have been lacking in IE for quite some time. IE 7 Pro brings with it a laundry list of features that cover everything from Ad Blocking to Mouse Gestures and nearly everything in between. Some of the high points include:
· Ad Blocking
· Mouse Gestures
· The ability to save the page you’re currently viewing to an image
· Crash Recovery
· Super Drag and Drop
IE 7 Pro is a great roll-up of features and “upgrades” to IE that will hopefully quell some of the shouts of anger from the detractors of IE 7.
